I wanted to say that this morning I was looking at my phone feeling so alone and wishing that someone would call or text, got a notification email and thought it was just some sale advertisement, but it was yours. It may sound stupid but with you and your wonderful spirit I do not feel so lonely, and I feel very special after this practice. This really brought me out of a dark place tonight. Dear friends, if you are disturbing some thoughts very deeply, i can give some technics to delete that, tight your body, artificially think that disturbing thoughts, write and talk that things repeatedly. For example :if you are suffering boring very deeply, you talk and write repeatedly 'boring boring boring '. At that time your mind should feel that i am deleting my boring from the mind

  7. I literally sobbed all the way through this! I've felt so lonely and useless for ages but I felt something good when we were thinking of things we are grateful for. I'm not 100% but not 0% anymore. Thank you Adriene!

  8. I couldn’t stop crying for hours. Was desperate and thought to try yoga. I was crying throughout the majority of the session until forward fold and finally felt my body calming down. Yoga is magical.

  9. I have been crying for days non stop or would stop to face my family and hide the fact that I am depressed, just to then retreat to my room and cry, lie in bed, feel the negative emotions all the time, all alone…

    I sought advice in a support group. Someone told me I should do yoga. I don't know your channel but it's the first video that popped up when I typed "Yoga for depression."

    After doing it for 10 minutes I heard the door bell ringing. Someone brought a package. A young pretty female walked towards me, asked me name with her pleasant voice. I smiled back and took it.

    I realized I smiled for the first time in what feels like eternity. And it was a genuine smile. I feel calm. My heart isn't going crazy right now.

    The words "The universe is here for me" – that hit hard. Thank you.

    I will answer remember the random stranger who told me to do yoga. And I will always remember this video and you. Continue. You helped me. This is significant

  10. Thank you for ending in mountain pose. Been so down lately that it was different, but comforting to not end in shavasana. This practice also reminded me that when I did yoga one to two times per day years ago, it was the only thing that cleared my mind and allowed me to be fully present. Thank you for the motivation Adriene!

  11. I'm at my lowest today. No one just seems to understand me, I couldn't handle it. When you said, "The universe is for me, and so is everything else." I broke down in tears, my emotions just pour out like that.. thank you

  12. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Adriene. This one gave me an intense emotional release when we thought of what we are grateful for. Now, on the mat I have come to really feel how negative my thoughts have been.

  13. I had to quit my job because I was getting physically abused by the people I was taking care of and there wasn’t enough being done about it.

    Then, I was delivering for Doordash and Uber Eats and that has been my only income for weeks. It hasn’t been easy for me because of my health and the commute and, now, my car is having issues.

    Lord willing, I’m supposed to start a new job next week and I’m praying that all goes well with it and that I can do a good job.

    I’m 32 and I have had a stroke and many health issues that make life hard and I have been single my entire life.

    I used to battle severe depression when I was a teenager, but I can’t even imagine living like that today. If I had known my life could turn out this way at this age, I would have probably given up. 😂 Because I couldn’t imagine being this happy with this little. And I’m thankful I am.

    But I have days where I wake up depressed and this was one of them. And I love how fun this practice was and the beautiful flush that it did to my system. Thank you, lady! ❤️

  19. This morning, I woke up much earlier than my alarm clock to all the really unkind things I've been carrying with me in my subconscious, my own toughest critic. I couldn't calm myself down, no matter all the knowledge & tools at my disposal. I've been carrying this heaviness around with me a lot, interfering the way I work, the way I show up with loved ones, the way I inhabit myself. Hearing & repeating, "the universe is for me, & so is everything else" made me feel a crack in my chest, an opening, a wish, and a hope. Out came some tears. As another commenter mentioned, I probably could have benefited from pausing the video to absorb that statement, one I will write down in hopes that it will stay. Lifting our heart center, jumping into gratitude, moved me into a space I haven't felt in some time. Thank you, Adriene, for creating this video & for traveling alongside each of us, guiding us towards the light. I appreciate you.

  20. I lost my grandfather last month and there's been a lot of familial turmoil since. Family issues aside I normally struggle with depression and anxiety, so it's only been worse. I needed something and as I was going through the library something told me this is the one. It was the hold your head high and your heart high for me. I lost it. The jump into gratitude was a nice touch. Adriene always delivers. And to anyone reading this that needs just a little more…a little more assurance, a little more love, a little more light…this is it!

  21. This was amazing, I had been caught in a deep depression for days and struggling to get out of bed.
