Your first yoga practice is here, and it is a full one, packed with valuable invitations! We begin by taking things nice and slow. You will soon feel more fire, you may move fast, but this series asks you to be disciplined about bringing awareness to the deeper layers of your practice – with breath.

What makes this 30 Day series unique is that these practices are designed to work together 1-30, not just as one-offs, though that is time well spent too.

This series is a process with intention. Today’s practice is all about listening, respectfully setting the tone, building foundation with slow and with purposeful movement.

  2. I am new to yoga practice and am keen to try and commit to this 30 day journey. I started today’s practice with Hope but I couldn’t finish as I was crying too much – it released something in me which I had to give in to. It didn’t feel bad, more necessary. I will try again tomorrow.

I decided to start yoga due to pain in my back and neck , I felt like I need some type of release cuz all I do is sit down all day on my iPad cuz I’m still taking classes online and I really needed to get out of that zone for a bit everyday, This made my body relax to the point I almost slept on the corpse pose I had tension in my left side of the neck and upper back I feel like I want a massage now hhh, this was great tho I’ll be completing the whole month inshallah.

  4. starting today, a second start (anyone else ever get of track, before finishing the 30 days, then decide to re-boot, re-start at Day 1? September 19, starting over! thanks Adriene for posting these recorded so that we can do just that.

  6. Doing it today again. I started the journey back in January, went halfway through and then left off coz I was too stressed. Now coming back to it to experience the relief it had brought me and will bring me again. Thanks Adriene

  7. I'm in lockdown in Canberra, Australia, and it has just been extended for a month. Perfect time to start this 30 day journey and connect with the breath!

  8. Comment for me only: You have avoided Yoga for more than 20 years. But the truth is – it is because it values and requires skill in every weakness you feel you have. Patience, strength, being connected to your inner self, taking time/care for yourself/facing truths. There is no class you need to avoid. There is no time limit on this. If a 5 minutes class is all you have – then DO IT ANYWAY. Autism and ADHD and PTSD and fresh grief of a parent and a complete life overhaul are a lot for any human who can't tolerate medication and has no support network, but that still leaves you with the same issue. No one will dig you out. All I ask from you is 30 days. 30 days of committing to doing what SOMEONE ELSE TELLS YOU TO with some semblance of grace. For how ever long your body can take that day. Just be present. Yoga is the only physical way we have to self assess our own mental health and it is time to get some answers in the peace. Surrender.

  9. Today was my day one, so hopefully I'll be able to do this every night before bed. The deep breaths part was painful cause I went through covid, but hoping this will help it get better
